The Aspiring Principals' Programme (APP) is one of the primary programmes offered by the National College for Educational Leadership (NCEL). It is offered in partnership with The University of the West Indies (UWI), Mona - School of Education Unit. The Programme comprises five (5) critical leadership modules as well as six (6) professional development engagements.
MATRICULATION REQUIREMENTS APPLICANTS MUST: Be teacher trained Have a minimum of 3 years teaching experience Have at least a first degree in education or a related discipline Be registered with the Jamaica Teaching Council (JTC) Application Requirements e.g. Appointment letter, qualifications Certified copy of degree(s) earned; Two referee reports (professional and community) a. from an Education Officer, Principal, Vice Principal or Head of Department/Unit b. from a Justice of the Peace, Attorney at Law, Pastor or Police Officer at the rank of Inspector or above or a member of the Civil Service at the level of the Senior Executive Grade; Résumé; Last two performance evaluation reports/appraisals; Certified copy of passport, national I.D or driver’s licence; Two passport sized photographs; Certified copy of marriage certificate
